Fanpage comments on facebook?

I liked someone's fanpage and commented on one of their posts, but when I logged off and went back to the page, my comment was gone. But all the others were still there. Then I logged back on and my comment was there, intact and where I'd left it. But it keeps going away every time I log off. What's going on? Are peoples' comments only visible while they're online?
